When you hear the words “chest tattoos” the first thing you’re likely thinking of is a man. Traditionally men were the only ones who would get a tattoo on their chest, simply because only men can walk around with no shirt on without causing whiplash to people as they pass by. Women who try to walk around topless often wind up being asked politely, and sometimes forced, to put clothing on.  Now people are getting tattoos not just to show off, but because they mean something to the person who gets the tattoo, that’s why chest tattoos are for more than just men.

Women are realizing that they can make their body look even more beautiful than it is by adding ink to their chest area.  However, if you’re going to be getting a chest tattoo, you need to make sure you know exactly what you’re getting. Traditional male chest tattoo designs don’t tend to work for most women because of the different body parts between the two. Instead of going with a traditional design, or even a generic one, you may want to think about going completely original.


One of the best reasons to go original entirely is because every woman’s body is so very different. While most men have fairly similar body types, women’s chest areas vary, meaning that not all generic designs will look good on every woman. That’s why you should approach your tattoo artist and should talk with them about putting an original design on your body. This way they will be able to match the curves of your body with the design, giving you a beautiful look that you’ll fall in love with and will be happy you got.
